Haringey Borough will be keen to build on their excellent end to last season when they kick off their 2014/15 Essex Senior League campaign at home to Clapton this Saturday.

The Borough won their final 15 league games last term and manager Tom Louizou will be aiming to replicate that form this term.

Summer additions at Coles Park Stadium include Ashley Winn, who has played at a higher level with Farnborough, and Jorge Djassi Sambu, last of divisional rivals Newham. International clearance is expected shortly for Christian Mpata, another midfielder, who has played in Scotland and Sweden and for striker Isaac Marfo, who has played in Malta.

Three home fixtures follower Saturday’s curtain-raiser, with London Bari coming to Coles Park on Tuesday, August 12 before Hertford Town visit on Saturday 16 in the FA Cup extra preliminary round. Success against the Spartan South Midlands side would set up a tie with Great Wakering Rovers two weeks later, before a potential tie with Ryman Premier Division side Canvey Island.

On Tuesday, August 19, Ilford will be at Coles Park in the first round of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy in which all Essex Senior League clubs take part.
