MASTER MARINER 4 DINAS POWYS 2 MASTER Mariner welcomed Dinas Powys to Rhoose for last Saturday's Vale Premier League game, knowing that only a win would do.

Within 15 minutes of the start Mondo headed in Mariner's first from Shane Cambell's flick.

Mariner took advantage of poor play by Dinas and when Cams fed the ball into Stez Hughes, he coolly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 going into the break.

After a half time talking-to, the Mariner started off well and once again the ball was played around the middle of the park by Ozzy, Verbal, Spencer and Stump until it fell to Cams who again flicked it on to Stez in the box to score his second of the game and Mariner's third.

Dinas then broke through and scored their first of the game, and with pressure being put on Mariner by the Dinas men. the ball found its way into the Mariner box where Mark Doleman, normally as cool as a cat, just fell flat on his hands and knees and the Dinas player fell over him.

The referee awarded the penalty which was well placed past Wayne in goals.

When Master Mariner made changes Shad flicked the ball on to Shane and he in turn found Stez wide open to rush through to score his hat-trick and clinch a 4-2 victory.

Mariner would like to thank Dinas for a well played game and enjoyable battle.
