Three teenagers robbed an 11-year-old boy outside PC World in Fife Road, Kingston, on Sunday but were at least partly foiled by a brave witness.

The boy was on his way to the cinema with three friends when he was approached by three 15-year-olds who demanded he empty his pockets.

They stole £50 from the boy and headed towards Kingston station, but a passer-by, who saw the theft, chased the boys and recovered some of the money.

Unfortunately, the person left before police arrived and officers would like to speak to the witness.

One of the robbers was white, another was of European appearance with a fair-haired afro and the other was Asian with a hooded top and cap. All were aged about 15.

Anyone with information should call Detective Sergeant Simon Harding on 020 8247 4945.
