"It's a cup final for us at home to Ashton next Tuesday.

"I've had them watched several times because this is a crucial match for both sides.

"It's going to be a hard game, but we need to start making Planet Conservatories Stadium a fortress. We don't want people coming here to play and enjoy themselves.

"We have been working hard in the last two training sessions on our shape and hopefully we are going to be hard to break down in future.

"The aim must be to keep a clean sheet.

"There's a bit of a break at present and that gives me a chance to go out and look at opposition that we will be facing and I've other people doing that for us.

"I'm hoping to sign up another striker who will give us a spark up front and will go straight into Tuesday's match.

"Luck doesn't seem to be going our way at the moment but we have to keep believing and it will change round.

"We are not playing like a side who out of form. We are matching opponents who are in the top part of the league but not getting the results.

"I had stressed before the Guiseley game to start tight and not concede to give ourselves a chance but we went 2-0 down after 17 minutes.

"I'm happy the way the lads are playing but there is an urgency to get points as soon as possible to take a bit of the pressure off.

"It was great to be playing again and to score, but I've got a big decision about who will be leading our attack - but I will definitely be in the squad and on the bench when needed."
