A MODERN Jive event organised by Wirral-based club Dance Northwest has raised £525 for Birkenhead's Zero Centre.
More than 70 people aged 18-72 and from across the borough took to the floor during the fundraiser at the OC Club, Bridle Road, Bromborough, on February 22.
As well as dancing, there was also a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. Among them was a meal for two at La Paz, West Kirby, and a family portrait worth £150.
Based in Laird Street, the Zero Centre helps all victims of domestic abuse and runs courses for women and children. Proceeds from the charity night will be used to help fund projects.
