Charities and professionals working with visually impaired people are backing an Ilkley resident's plan to build an annexe to help care for an elderly relative.
On Thursday Bradford Council's Keighley Area Planning Panel consider Dr Oliver Townsend's plan for the extension and additions at his three-bedroom bungalow at Clifford Road, to provide accommodation for a partially-sighted relative.
Age Concern Bradford, Keighley and District Association for the Blind, Keighley Citizens' Advice Bureau and an opthalmic surgeon at Airedale Hospital are among those who support the plan.
Four letters of objection were received.
