STAFF at the call centre of a home catalogue store in Burnley are volunteering to take donations for Comic Relief.
This Friday staff from Optimum, the call centre arm of Littlewoods Shop Direct group, will be taking calls from the public throughout the marathon fundraising event which raises money for good causes in the UK and Africa.
And Littlewoods Clearance, which is, below the Kingsway call centre, is also opening its doors between 6pm and 10pm with 10per cent of all proceeds going to Comic Relief.
There will be a charity fashion show and raffle with prizes including a DVD player and digital camera.
Richard Livesey, spokesman for Littlewoods Clearance said: "It feels really good to be giving to such a worthy cause.
"I really hope the people of Burnley come down and see us on Friday night and make the event a great success."
