A TEENAGE boy was attacked and robbed by a gang of youths as he walked home from a nightclub.

The 18-year-old was surrounded by six or seven youths on the forecourt of the Texaco petrol station on Birmingham Road, at around 1am on Sunday, December 17.

The victim handed over £20 after being threatened by one of the youths.

He was then approached by another of the youths, who apologised and returned the money.

The victim continued walking, and on reaching the Somerfield car park he was surrounded by another three members of the group.

This time he refused to hand over money and was punched in the mouth and right eye.

He handed over £20 and the offenders walked off across the Somerfield car park.

He had swelling and bruising to his eye, and his glasses worth £150 were broken.

The first offender is described as white, aged 16 or 17, of skinny build, 5ft 4in tall, and wearing a white hoody.

The offender who carried out the assault was also white and aged about 16 or 17, of stocky build, about 5ft 5in tall, with short brown hair and a fat face.
