WILTSHIRE Police recorded more than 19 crashes between 4.10am today (FEB 8) and 9am.
The majority were minor bumps, but one driver had to be cut from his car for medical reasons after an accident near Salisbury on the A36.
Force spokesman Graham Chivers urged drivers: "Please take care, make sure your vehicles are roadworthy when you go out, slow down and only go out in bad weather if it is absolutely essential."
Primary schools at Crudwell and Minety were closed as a result of the snowfall, but Malmesbury School was up and running as usual.
"A few students and staff were delayed and a couple of buses were cancelled, but apart from that it was business as usual," said a spokesman.
