A WOMAN who admitted having sex with a schoolboy was given an nine-month supervision order.
Vanessa Misell, 39, of Godman Road, Chadwell St Mary was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Friday after she admitted two counts of having sex with a 13-year-old boy at her home on May 27 last year.
Judge Daniel Worsley said: "You realised that he might not have been 16 so it is criminal, as you have accepted. The prosecution have accepted your basis of plea so it is quite clear for the purpose of sentencing that the sex was initiated by this young boy and not by you."
Judge Worsley told Misell, who allowed the victim and young people to hang out at her home, that if she had seduced the boy then she would have faced jail.
He added: "It was wrong what you did and what you allowed yourself to do. I believe that you will never let yourself do anything like this again."
