ADVICE about domestic violence and how to seek help is going out in 90,000 copies of the Worcestershire GP Surgeries Healthcare Guide.

The full page advert, funded by police in north Worcestershire, promotes West Mercia Constabulary's Home Truths campaign and gives helpline numbers.

Free copies of the booklet are available from GP surgeries, medical centres, health clinics, dental surgeries and libraries across the county.

March is domestic violence month, with a national poster, press and radio campaign running on the theme of enough.

The campaign urges friends and relatives of victims, as well as victims themselves, to seek support from the free- phone 24-hour National Domestic Violence helpline.

An advice line for male victims of domestic violence can be contacted on 0845 064 680, or 0870 794 4124. Men who have abused their partners and want to seek help can call Respect on 0845 122 8609.

West Mercia Constabulary has divisional domestic violence units which can be contacted on 08457 444888.
