A CREWE teenager has been jailed for three years after breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
Adam Marshall, aged 19, of Stamp Avenue, was sent to prison for two years for an offence of affray and breach of the ASBO.
He received an additional 12 months sentence, which will run consecutively, for indecently assaulting an under-age girl.
He pleaded guilty to the offences when he appeared last week at Warrington Crown Court.
Police officers say the sentence sends a clear message to people responsible for public disorder.
PC Tony Condon, one of the investigating officers, said: "The sentence shows the benchmark for this type of offence.
"People who continually behave anti-socially can affect the lives of a lot of other people.
"We treat that as a serious issue and put considerable effort into investigating disorder offences.
"The sentence shows the courts take an equally serious view of that type of behaviour.
"This case also involved breaches of the terms of an ASBO. Cheshire Police enforce ASBOs vigorously and the courts are prepared to send people who do not comply with the terms of their orders to prison."
