A prolific fly-tipper has been brought to justice by Harrow Borough Council’s environmental crime investigators.
Ben Tickner, of Larkspur Close, Ruislip, pleaded guilty to three counts of fly-tipping when he appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He was handed a £300 fine along with a £15 victim surcharge and costs of £250.
The offences occurred after Mr Tickner was paid to remove and dispose of waste from a building in Enfield.
He illegally dumped the bags of waste on private land in Lucas Avenue and King’s Road.
Harrow Borough Council’s divisional director of environment, John Edwards, said: “We take fly-tipping extremely seriously – it is a crime that blights our community and costs taxpayers thousands of pounds each year.
“This prosecution underlines the fact that we will make every effort to bring offenders to justice and make them face the consequences of their actions.”
