A nursing team serving people in the borough with learning disabilities have been recognised for their hard work.
Haringey’s Joint Learning Disability Partnership Nursing team has won the National Nursing Standard Award from the Royal College of Nursing.
They were awarded the prize last week for their new nursing model, which they developed helping adults with learning disabilities.
Haringey Borough Council's cabinet member for health, Cllr Bernice Vanier, said: “This is a huge accolade and I would like to pass on heartfelt congratulations to the team."
She added: “I am proud that we have such dedicated staff providing care in our community. The fact that the team have developed a robust plan for the way they work, which is both inclusive and outcomes focused and is great for patients and their families.”
