Model aircraft enthusiasts have smashed the world record for flying the most model helicopters at one time.
A group of 32 pilots from the British Model Flying Association had their thumbs poised over the controls for their model micro helicopters for the challenge at Alexandra Palace today.
The team had to keep more than 31 helicopters in a steady hover over a fixed point for a minimum of three minutes in order to break the record.
Pilots travelled from as far away as Bradford to take part in the event, and were delighted to break the record.
