Twigs and mud where just some of the materials used at art session which tried to connect children with nature.
The Friends of Railway Fields and conservation group The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) hosted ‘family wildlife art’ at Railway Fields in Green Lanes yesterday.
More than 20 children gathered at the park in Harringay and drew pictures of birds and used mud and twigs to create bird nests.
Clif Osborne, senior project officer with TCV, said: “It’s been really wonderful. The whole point of today was to try and introduce children to nature through art.”
