A mum who returned to work after bringing up a family has proved it is never too late to train for new qualifications - and there is no job too unusual to get them in.

Tottenham mother Lynne Boindini, 55, has worked for The Co-operative Funeralcare for two and a half years and is based at its Tottenham funeral home.

Mrs Boindini previously worked in retail and for the passport office but gave it up to look after her young family.

Since returning to work, she has gained a Level 3 BTEC Advanced Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration, which covers all aspects of the job including funeral laws and customs, funeral arranging and caring for the deceased.

She said: “Once my children grew older, I was looking for a part-time job and came across an advert for a funeral arranger and decided to apply.

“I thoroughly enjoy my job and have met some really lovely people, even under such sad circumstances, and I am so pleased to have been able to help them.”
