Haringey Borough Council has been handed £200,000 to boost recycling in the borough.
Thousands of people in Haringey are set to benefit from improved recycling services after the council received the money from the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB).
The cash will be pumped into measures to increase dry recycling by around 800 tonnes by making it easier for people living in flats and on housing estates to recycle more.
Funding will pay for reusable recycling bags for residents, improved communal recycling facilities and new or refurbished bins at 200 sites across the borough.
