A man accused of stabbing a mother-of-two to death in a busy street in Tottenham has appeared in court.
Dariusz Miakienko, 46, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning charged with the murder of healthcare worker Naudel Turner, 42, on Wednesday, March 19, in Bruce Grove.
Ms Turner was stabbed to death as she walked along Bruce Grove shortly before 1pm last Wednesday.
She was rushed to a central London hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Ms Turner, who lived in Fulham and had two sons aged 19 and 20, worked as a healthcare worker at Castleview Surgery in Lordship Lane.
Mr Miakienko, of Lordship Lane, Wood Green, appeared via video link from Belmarch Prison for a bail hearing this morning and was remanded in custody by Judge Gerald Gordon.
No application for bail was made and Miakienko will next appear in court for a plea and case management hearing on June 10.
