A new artwork has appeared on the wall where the Banksy’s “Slave Labour” was painted until it disappeared last summer.

The new work, which features a cut-out style line around the space where the Banksy was, appeared on the wall of the Poundland in Wood Green yesterday.

The new graffiti does not have a name on it, but is suspected to be by the street artist Mobstr, who features the piece on his website.

Banksy’s mural, which controversially vanished, seemed to criticize the existence of low-wage work in light of the Queen’s golden jubilee celebrations.

It was sold at auction for more than £750,000.
