Alexandra Palace will hold a concert to raise funds for the restoration of its famous Willis organ.

The Alexandra Palace Organ is recognised as one of the masterpieces of its original builder, 'Father' Henry Willis, and its rebuilder, Henry Willis III.

The aim of the current restoration is to return the organ to its 1929 state, when it was heralded as the finest concert organ in Europe.

This would involve reversing the extensive damage caused during World War II and the great fire of 1980.

The concert will take place on Wednesday May 28. Tickets will be £10 on the door, which will open at 6.30pm.
