A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a car crash in South Tottenham on Saturday night.
Two cars collided on Portland Road, just off West Green Road, shortly before midnight.
A 49-year-old man was cut from his vehicle by the fire service and treated for lower back pain by paramedics.
He remained conscious throughout and was taken to Homerton hospital.
The arrested man was taken into custody at a police station in North London.
