Protesters gathered outside Tottenham Town Hall last night to lobby new councillors on the issue of council housing.
Haringey Defend Council Housing (HDCH), supported by the Haringey Federation of Residents Associations, organized a demonstration of around 60 people.
The group, who said they wanted to catch the attention of the 29 new councillors, accused the council of not protecting council housing and of “gentrifying” Tottenham.
Several members of the crowd had banners reading “Say no to privatisation, hands off our homes.”
