Haringey Council leader Claire Kober has today said Crossrail 2 would "unlock regeneration" in Haringey.
Cllr Kober, who has long been a supporter of the proposed route through Haringey up to Alexandra Palace, said: “We’re really pleased to see such broad support for Crossrail 2 in the initial consultation, and we’re convinced that it would be a powerful driver for economic growth in Haringey and across London.
“We’ve always been clear that the regional route would open up our borough and unlock regeneration in Tottenham and Alexandra Palace, and it’s great to see plans moving forward.
“This route would transform travel for local residents to south-west London and beyond."
