Sea Cadets in Haringey were "in awe" of Team GB athletes when they helped present a medal at the 2014 ICF Canoe Slalom.
The members of the White Hart Lane cadets branch spent Saturday and Sunday at the Lee Valley White Water Rafting Centre in Broxbourne where Britain's own canoeists were in action.
The 12 to 17-year-olds were invited by the British Canoeing Union to assist with the medal bearing and flag raising on Saturday afternoon.
Officer in charge Stuart Jackson said: "They loved it. It is sometimes hard to get volunteers at the weekend but they all jumped at the chance. They were in awe of the Team GB canoeists and just of being at the Olympic venue."
The group, which meets in White Hart Lane and sails in Edmonton and Hendon, is looking for new members.
