The landlords of two pubs at the centre of this year's Hornsey Music Festival are promising the event will be bigger and better than last year.
Organisers are finalising the line-up for the three day showcase of live music and expect to be able to publish a full brochure next week.
The event, moved to July after its September debut in 2013, centres around The Three Compasses, The Great Northern Railway Tavern and The Hornsey Tavern pubs and includes a series of events in shops and on the high street.
Nigel Oxford, who has been landlord of The Three Compasses pub for ten years, said: "It went really well last year and we had to do it again - it seemed a shame to let it die.
"It brought the community together and that's what we want to do as a local pub. It is a lot of work but we have a lot of supporters."
This year's festival has the addition of passionate live music aficionado Victoria Sluman, who took over as landlady of the Great Northern Railway Tavern in October.
She said: "It's going to be bigger and better than last year. This is us showing off the best of what we have been doing since I took over. We (the three landlords) all get on and there is a nice feeling among the pubs - it hasn't taken long to feel at home."
The festival is expected to cost around £3,000, most of which will be covered by main sponsor Philip Alexander estate agency.
Final preparations are now being put together before the event, held between July 11 and 13, with organisers hoping another successful year can help put Hornsey on the map.
Organiser Lisa Hyde said: "There is a lot of talent around here and we want to capture that this summer.
"Festivals like this one help define Hornsey. It helps place it as an area that can be a centre for activity. We're really excited about it."
