Illegal traders have been warned off selling goods at this weekend’s music festival.

Haringey Borough Council said that it will take “tough action” against anyone caught touting tickets or dealing fake T-shirts during the three-day Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park.

Four people were prosecuted and eight were issued on-the-spot fines for unlicensed street trading and trade-mark offences linked to the Arctic Monkeys concerts in late May.

Police also seized 257 unofficial T-shirts, eight tickets, and 500 capsules of nitrous oxide or 'laughing gas'.

Four people have so far appeared in court and received fines from £95 to more than £500.

Around 45,000 people a day are expected to attend this weekend’s event, which features headliners Kanye West and Bruno Mars.
