Budding fire fighters have been given new qualifications.
Fourteen young fire cadets aged between 15 and 17 were presented with a BTEC qualifications in fire and rescue services in the community at a “passing out parade” on Saturday.
Wiktor Wilczynski, 16, was given a special award by his fellow cadets for determination.
Youth engagement co-ordinator Annetta Hawkins said: “Wiktor’s award is well deserved as his attendance has been impeccable and he is always the first to volunteer and willing to help out anyone on the course.”
London Fire Commissioner Ron Dobson said: “The educational and life skills the young people have obtained are invaluable and will hopefully enable them to find a job or continue in education.”
