Haringey council is asking people for their views on how adult social care should be delivered in future.

The council cabinet has already approved the proposals which will see changes to services currently provided at a number of centres and some services cease entirely.

Cllr Peter Morton said:“Right across the country local authorities are trying to find ways to cope with an increased demand for services at a time when funding has been significantly cut.

“This means that if we are to continue to meet the needs of people who rely on social care in Haringey, then we must start doing things in a different and more sustainable way.

“My aim is that any new services being introduced as part of these changes are also jointly-designed with the people who will use them.”

Consultation on these proposals will open on July 3 and run until October 1.

Feedback from the consultation will then be considered by the council’s cabinet who will decide on any changes.
