Growing up in Zimbabwe, or Rhodesia as it then was, the African wildlife inspired a young Bill Bains to take up pencil and paintbrush and capture the environment around him.
This combined love of nature and art continues to influence Bill to this day and you will be able to see his remarkable pencil drawings on display at the Watford Area Arts Forum’s annual summer exhibition, which opens this weekend.
Bill also creates artworks in acrylic, oil, watercolour and pastels and is a popular member of the Watford Area Arts Forum and also the Wildlife Art Society.
The exhibition also includes watercolours, oils, arylics, pastels, drawings and ceramics.
- Upper Gallery, intu Watford, from Saturday, July 4 until Sunday, July 12, Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm, Sundays 11am to 5pm. Details: watfordareaartsforum.com
