A grant will give students at several schools more access to workshops aimed at developing their skills.
Pupils at six secondary schools across the borough are to benefit from professional training after Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts was awarded a £7,200 grant.
The grant, from national education charity the Ernest Cook Trust, will go towards the academy’s work with secondary schools to broaden access to the arts for young people.
A total of 720 young performers will benefit directly from the cash with drama, dance and voice workshops, aimed at helping them develop personal and vocational skills
