He may be the highest paid player at Tottenham Hotspur, but 26-year-old striker Robbie Keane is way down on the list of the richest people in Haringey.

With £6 million in the bank last year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, Spurs' star turn is lagging a bit behind some of Highgate's more famous residents, despite a string of transfers totalling £38m, which take him to joint 72nd in the young person's section. He still has some way to go to catch up with some of the area's more entertaining householders.

Former teacher, environmentalist and world famous musican, Sting, who owns a massive pad in Highgate as part of his worldwide property portfolio, is estimated to be worth £185m. He is also set to get richer, as the Police re-unite for a world tour. The former lead singer, who went on to continued success as a solo artist, is rumoured to be pocketing £70m from the tour alone. But even with his millions, Sting is only rated as joint 388 on the list.

Lagging just behind him, well, £80m behind him, and placed at 659 on the list, Highgate born rocker-turned-crooner Rod Stewart is thought to be worth £105m. Born one of five children to a father who ran a newsagent, 62-year-old Rod is planning an extensive tour.

But even the wealth of Sting, Robbie and Rod pale into insignificance when compared to that which is coming from the east.

While Roman Abram-ovich has a fortune of £10,800m, Boris Berez-ovsky's half a billion puts him a bit further up the list at 151. After building up his fortune through a Moscow car dealership, he invested in the oil business and has bought London property, including the Muswell Hill home of murdered Russian ex-spy and author Alexander Litvinenko.

Also hot on Haringey property is Firoz Kassam. The 52-year-old hotel owner bought debt-ridden Alexan-dra Palace in 2006, and plans to turn it into a casino with a hotel, bar and resturants. He also owns Oxford United football club, and has an estimated fortune of £275m, making him £25m richer than last year. But because of the growth in billionaires he's been knocked down the list and and is rated the 263rd most wealthly person in the UK, as opposed to 238th last year.
