Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Gent’s Moses Simon and Laurent Depoitre in the January transfer window.
According to the Daily Mirror, Simon, a 20-year-old left winger, has been on Tottenham’s radar since he was a teenager but slipped through their grasp when he opted to train with Ajax instead.
Simon has scored once in four international appearances for Nigeria and found the net seven times last season as Gent won the Belgium Pro League.
Meanwhile, the proposed signing of Depoitre would go some way towards alleviating the growing pressure on Harry Kane to provide a similar goal output to last season’s haul of 31.
Kane has scored just once in the Premier League this term and has at times looked isolated at the point of Tottenham’s attack.
In stark contrast Depoitre, 26, has seven goals in 13 matches this season and marked his full international debut for Belgium with a goal against Andorra as Belgium booked their place at Euro 2016.
