A charity cake sale raised money for an under-pressure charity group last week.

TSB bank in Tottenham raised £94.30 for The Selby Trust on November 11.  TSB say they will be carrying out further events to raise for the trust including £100 Christmas donation.

The Selby Trust is based at the Selby Centre in Tottenham, which faces an uncertain future with the council planning on cutting rent grants next year.

The funds raised will be used to support them in initiatives such as a boxing club for young people, and bike repair classes.

Ali Saddique, branch manager at TSB in Tottenham said: "The Selby Trust is a vital part of our local community and we’re really proud to have them as our Local Charity Partner.

"Our team in Tottenham have worked hard putting in a lot of time and dedication by to make this day a success. We have really enjoyed our event and it is fantastic to know the difference that our efforts will make."

Sona  Mehtani, CEO of the The Selby Trust  said: "We are hugely grateful to TSB. The money they are raising and the general support we’re getting is helping us to deliver really important services in Tottenham. Having major businesses like TSB supporting us locally is a great way of making our community stronger."
