A new football tournament for young people who risk getting involved in gang crime is set to begin next week.

The MOPAC (Mayors Office for Policing And Crime) Tournaleague involves funded clubs in London working with vulnerable people at risk of offending, re offending, joining gangs or becoming affiliated to gangs.

Those who have been excluded from school or are unemployed are also welcomed.

Tottenham Hotspur will be among the clubs in attendance and bringing young people to represent them.

Other clubs include Arsenal, QPR, West Ham, Millwall, Crystal Palace and Leyton Orient.

The day will start with a London Ambulance anti knife crime workshop.

The tournament will then run every seven weeks until the end of the school summer term, where it is hoped that the finals will take place at Tottenham Hotspur football club.

The MOPAC Tournaleague will be played on Friday, 27 November between 10am and 3pm, at the Frederick Knight Sports Park on Willoughby Lane, Tottenham.
