Violent street robbers have been jailed after punching and ripping jewellery from a man’s wrist.
Lucas Danko, 22, of Birstall Road, in Seven Sisters, ambushed the 55-year-old man on Cleveland Gardens, Haringey, smacking him in the face and leaving him with a broken nose.
Courtney White, 21, of Hingham Road, in Tottenham, was also present as they pair tried to get a away into a mini-cab.
Danko was seen throwing the jewellery into the mini-cab.
In addition, two men were also arrested for a robbery on Wednesday, June 17, in Warwick Gardens, Haringey where a 61-year-old woman was dragged to the ground and her jewellery ripped from her neck.
Danko was found to be the main assailant in the incident.
Detective Sergeant Damian Hill, the investigating officer, said: "The manner in which these violent robberies were carried out was particularly distressing to the victims. The lady who was robbed told me that she was scared to go out since the offence and I hope that the sentence today will help her overcome her anxiety as a result of the incident."
Danko was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for one count of robbery and four years imprisonment for a second count of robbery, sentences to run concurrently.
White was sentenced to 14 months each for two counts of handling stolen goods, to run concurrently, suspended for 24 months.
They both pleaded guilty to the charges.
