FIRE crews had to rescue a person from a block of flats in after a blaze broke out in the early hours of this morning.
The fire broke out in a flat in Shelbourne Road, Tottenham, shortly after 2am.
Firefighters from Tottenham and Walthamstow were called to the scene to find thick smoke billowing from the top floor.
The road was closed for two hours after neighbours reported seeing firemen in oxygen masks rush into the flats.
Paramedics also attended.
