In December, twin brothers guilty of murdering a father who tried to break up a street fight were given 21 years each behind bars.

Khiry Ford, who lived in Tottenham, was stabbed 12 times in Haselbury Road, Edmonton, in the early hours of Sunday, November 30, 2014, after a brawl.

He had been attending his cousin’s 18th birthday party at the time.

Charles Tamale and Deo Tamale, 19, of St Edmunds Road, were found guilty of murder, conspiracy to rob and to pervert the course of justice.

Meanwhile 18-year-old Ata Hansen, of Church Street, Enfield, was found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to rob and sentenced to 11-and-a-half years behind bars.

Elsewhere, families of vulnerable elderly residents at a care home have been rocked after being told they have to move out their loved ones.

It has been labelled a "death sentence" by some as they face the prospect of moving out family members from Reardon Court, in Winchmore Hill.

The move comes because of a health and safety threat claimed by Enfield Council after legionella was first found in March 2015.

For the families of the 24 residents, 17 tenants and 67 people who use the day centre, it came as a “total shock".

Finally, a mother-of-four will serve a prison sentence for posting explicit images of her ex-lesbian lover on Facebook.

Samantha Watt, 31, of Harman Road, in Bush Hill Park, was given an 18-week sentence for uploading two graphic images of a 21-year-old woman who she had a five-month relationship with.

The victim, who was a lodger with Watt at the time, found that sexually explicit images had been uploaded to the social media site with the caption “this girl pays for rent with sex and dirty images".

The post also said: "She wants a taste of Sam's life she's getting a taste of how I can be. You can't disrespect me."
