Dog owners are being reminded to get their pets microchipped before the law changes later this year.
The Wood Green Animal Shelter is holding free dog microchipping sessions at the Selby Community Centre on February 16 at 10am.
The government has introduced a new law to help cut a rise in strays, which means that by April 6 2016, it will be compulsory for all breeds of dogs aged more than eight weeks to be chipped.
