Three teenage girls from north and east London have been missing for more than two weeks.

Ikhra Jaal from Tottenham, Mariam Mohamed from Enfield and Alwiye Hassan Nureni from Leyton, all aged 17, are friends and attend Leyton Sixth Form College, Waltham Forest.

They were last seen on Tuesday, April 24, however police have only now launched an appeal to find where they are.

Ms Jaal is 5ft 7ins, of medium build, and is said to usually wear a grey head scarf. When last seen she was wearing a black jacket, black t-shirt, blue skirt and grey trainers.

She was last seen at 1pm on April 24 by her mother, saying she was going to visit the library in Wood Green.

Ms Mohamed is 5ft 5ins and slim, and was last seen at noon on April 24 by her mother, wearing a black head scarf, black jacket, white top, black skirt, and carrying a black medium-sized handbag.

Ms Hassan Nureni is approximately 5ft 7ins and slim, last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark blue jeans and white trainers, but may have taken items of clothing with her in a small shoulder bag.

She was last seen, also by her mother, at 2.30pm on April 24, when she said she was going to Stratford.

Police say the girls may have been planning to go away and could be in the Cardiff or Brighton area, but are not thought to have gone abroad.
