Redbridge is the happiest borough in London, a new survey has claimed.

According to data released yesterday (September 27) by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) people living in Redbridge are the happiest in London.

The survey asked people across the country how happy they felt on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being “completely” and 0 being “not at all”.

After Redbridge, Waltham Forest was the second happiest east London borough with a score of 7.51.

Epping Forest came in after that with a score of 7.44, followed by Enfield and Haringey over in north London.

If you live in Islington or Lambeth, you are supposedly among the saddest people in the capital and scored only 7.11.

Those polled were also asked how anxious they felt to assess how tension levels vary nationwide.

In north east London, Haringey is reportedly the most anxious borough with a score of 3.09, followed by Epping Forest with 2.99 over in Essex.

The ONS stats claim people in Enfield are the least anxious of all Londoners, with a score of 2.49.

Unfortunately if you live in Hammersmith and Fulham over in west London, you supposedly suffer the worst anxiety levels in the big smoke.

What do you make of ONS’ claims? Are you ecstatic to be living in Redbridge, feeling down in Lambeth or anxious in Hammersmith?
