Hundreds of students have been getting used to their surroundings this freshers’ week.
The College of Haringey Enfield and North East London (CONEL) held its annual Freshers’ Fairs, to promote the activities, volunteering opportunities and support services in the local area.
Lina Hailu, 27, is studying for a diploma in health and social care. She said: “I love children, and really interested in doing some work with them. I want to be a nurse and this will really give me confidence and good experience working with children and families.”
Among the organisations at the events were Haringey Council, St John Ambulance, Mind in Haringey, Middlesex Football Association, Compass and the National Citizen Service.
