CHILDREN at a multi-cultural primary school learnt about Black History month through music, dance and fashion.
Pupils at Bruce Grove Primary School, in Tottenham, were joined by the deputy Mayor of Haringey, Stephen Mann, for a celebrations.
Parents, pupils and teachers wanted to celebrate the “richly diverse” backgrounds of the school community.
Their families showed off cultural clothes and enjoyed a feast of cultural delicacies.
Class teacher, Prini Shah, and learning mentor, Maria Pires, who both co-ordinated the event, said: "We all learned so much from each other through this celebration. It gave all pupils, whatever their background, the opportunity to shine through sharing something from their heritage."
Activities as part of Black History Month also included workshops at Bruce Castle Museum, guest speakers, projects, crafts, music workshops and other activities.
