A COLLEGE which teaches people with severe learning difficulties was graded ‘Good’ by Osted.
John Dewey Independent Specialist College was given the second highest rating by inspectors.
The college, which has been open since 2013, provides opportunities for young people with very severe learning difficulties to develop personal and employability skills.
Chairman of governors, Dr Matthew Griffiths and princiapal Nicki Quarterman. said: “Our staff and students have worked hard to create a thriving learning environment despite the challenges of our non-traditional accommodation.
“We are very pleased Ofsted have recognised our continuous emphasis on developing skills that lead to independence.”
Alongside the College, Area 51 Education also delivers a range of services to young adults with severe learning difficulties from across North London.
