Weather

It's going to be a cloudy day in east London, and still pretty chilly with temperatures peaking around six degrees.

Some sun will peak through the clouds, but expect rain through the night from 8pm.

Tube

8.15am

There are severe delays on the Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines while a signal failure is fixed at Farringdon.

There are also severe delays on the Metropolitan Line between Harrow on the Hill and Aldgate.

There is no TfL Rail service between Brentwood and Shenfield until May 2017. Greater Anglia services are unaffected by the closure.

There is a good service on all other London Underground, Overground, DLR, and tram lines.

Travel

If you're passing through Stratford later today, the West Ham United v Manchester City football match at the Olympic Park stadium could cause disruption. Kick off is 8pm.

As usual there is heavy traffic on the M11 southbound between J5 A1168 (Loughton) and J4 A406 North Circular (South Woodford).

There is queueing traffic due to earlier broken down vehicle on the A13 into town before the A406 North Circular Road (Beckton Roundabout), congestion on the A13 Choats Manor Way to Chequers Lane (Dagenham).

Expect the usual queues on the A406 North Circular between Charlie Brown's Roundabout in South Woodford and Redbridge Roundabout.

There are temporary traffic lights and water mains work in Chingford on the A110 King's Road at B160 Larkshall Road until January 15.

There is heavy traffic on the A13 into town between Marsh Way and Renwick Road.

Temporary traffic lights and emergency repairs are taking place on the A1199 High Road at Forest Approach in Woodford Green until January 9.
