Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is growing increasingly concerned about the hip injury which has sidelined Erik Lamela since October.
The Argentina international will undergo a scan tomorrow as Spurs attempt to get to the bottom of the issue, which is yet to be fully diagnosed.
Lamela has been working with former club Roma’s physiotherapist as he continues his recovery, but Pochettino admits there is no time frame for his return.
“It is still difficult to give a time for him to come back. We need to wait for what happens tomorrow,” Pochettino said.
“There are still some problems, and we’re not sure of the diagnosis.
“We are starting to be concerned about him, because it is nearly three months and we’re still in a situation with no movement.”
The Spurs boss also revealed the club would not be able to make a decision on whether Lamela will need surgery until the results of his scan have been revealed.
