AN MP proved she was a bright spark when talking about air pollution at a power plant.

Enfield North representative Joan Ryan was given a full tour of the Uniper Power Station on Tuesday.

Staff at the Brancroft Way site explained how they are helping tackle emissions and support a transition to a low carbon society through use of the latest technology.

Joan Ryan said: “Air pollution is one of our borough’s and London’s biggest problems, so it is important to meet and work with energy providers who are reducing pollutants and emissions into the atmosphere.

"It is vital for our community and the local and national economy that our energy infrastructure is able to provide cleaner, affordable and secure energy and companies like Uniper will have an important role to play in helping to make this happen.”
