Overflowing toilets and litter strewn across one of the borough’s Green Flag parks have caused outrage.
Visitors enjoying summer sunshine Trent Park over the weekend of June 18 and 19 were shocked at the mess left behind by an illegal rave.
Aside from the rubbish, bins had been thrown in the pond and a public toilet had been left in an unusable state.
An Enfield Council spokesperson, said: “We have noted the high level of litter in Trent Park over that weekend. “This was due to an unauthorised and illegal event in the park, which drew a significant number of people who used the park’s facilities and selfishly left a large amount of waste.
“We have parks officers working at weekends litter-picking, clearing rubbish and cleaning toilets.
“They do their utmost to keep our parks clean and safe so that residents can enjoy open spaces for free all year round.” “This incident is being looked into further, but we would remind park users that there are many litter bins across the park that are available for the disposal of waste. “The hot weather and those celebrating Father’s Day also attracted many visitors to Trent Park on Sunday. “We have parks officers working at weekends litter-picking, clearing rubbish and cleaning toilets.
“They do their utmost to keep our parks clean and safe so that residents can enjoy open spaces for free all year round.”
