RADICAL changes to post office services in Crouch End are on the counter.

A six-week public consultation began on Thursday, July 19. , ending on Wednesday September 6.

The proposed changes include a complete refurbishment of the branch at 28 – 29 in Topsfield Road, as well as Works would be completed by November 2017. looking at a seven-day service. longer opening hours and five serving counters. Stationery and office services would also be made available.

Opening hours would be 8:30am to 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 9am to 5.30pm on a Wednesday. Saturday and Sunday would be noon till 4pm.

Roger Gale, from the Post Office, s sales and trade marketing director, said: “Our customers will be offered the same range of services, with more convenient and longer opening hours, including Sundays.“We are making sure we take the right action to sustain services for years to come.

“We have to adapt so that we can maintain our presence on high streets and in the heart of communities, which we are determined to do.”

Universal Office Equipment (UK) Ltd would operate the post office branch. The company operates three other Post Offices in London.

The Post Office is welcoming feedback on location, proposed premises, accessibility or community issues before making a decision on the proposal.
