A thug who attacked and injured three strangers on a night out in an act of "reckless violence" has been jailed.

Kyal Moore, of Warwick Road, Edmonton, was sentenced to 12 years in jail at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, October 4.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon at the same court in July.

Police were called to Muswell Hill Broadway at around 3.40am on Saturday, January 28 after a number of men had been stabbed.

Two of the victims had been standing outside Socialite Bar when they approached the two suspects, one of whom was Moore.

After a brief exchange of words, Moore brandished a knife and swung it at the victims, inflicting slash injuries.

Moore ran off but another man was wounded close to the road.

The three victims - a 25-year-old, a 23-year-old and a 34-year-old were taken to hospital.

The first man had an ear injury as well as stab wounds and needed surgery, the second had been stabbed in the head while the third had been stabbed in the neck.

None of their injuries were life threatening.

A fourth man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, attended a north London hospital for treatment to cuts to his head.

Police believe he was also injured during these incidents but officers could not trace him following his discharge from hospital.

Following a media appeal, Moore was identified by an officer.

He was arrested in June and when interviewed denied any involvement - but was charged the next day.

The second suspect involved has not been traced.

DC Rob Wrightson of Haringey CID said: "This was an incredibly violent, unprovoked knife attack on several people enjoying their night out which could have had far more tragic consequences.

"The reckless violence used by Moore and the severity of the attack was recognised by the judge who imposed a substantial jail sentence."
